If I burn $20 and I’m laughing, locked in, sweating a last-minute corner kick or bonus spin -- that’s VALUE all day!!

The way I see it -- is it is entertainment that has the potential to pay bills. You don’t call Netflix a scam when it eats your time and gives you nothing back lol. At least with gambling you might spike something crazy and flex for the week.
