🇬🇧 MP @EmmaforWycombe writes that the “UK government currently has no plans to adopt a strategic bitcoin reserve.”

She believes Bitcoin’s “properties as an asset nonetheless remain inconsistent with the objectives and investment principles that govern the Government's foreign exchange reserves.”

The UK government appears dead set on fumbling a bag of 61,000 BTC.
Nothing New, EU would still be EU.
Always slow in reacting to change
And about their seized fund, why hold something they consider too volatile till now
They know how much the proceed Would help their debt.

They are being cautious. It's a reserve without being stated until they choose to sell.

It's too volatile for them, they prefer Fiat that's stablely (not a word) dying slowly than one who's fall are Temporary.

That's really the saddest part there especially that they have leaders who's not open for some changes. Instead of adopting those things that can benefit them they choose to create something that will push their own interest or agenda's.

I think they don't care about being late, what these officials want is to create something that they can fully control.

Provably the situation will change if the current officials will be out in their position and their replacement is open for changes also have knowledge on Bitcoin.
