The West Indies team is in England to play the three ODI and T20 series. Today is the first ODI match between the two teams at Birmingham. The toss has been won by West Indies and they will bowl first. A good decision in my opinion as with the bowling they can put some pressure on them specially if they can take some quick wickets.
West Indies recently draw a series with Ireland. I am looking forward for Keacy Carty as if he is the man in form and if he gets going, West Indies may give some surprises today.
West Indies are not a strong team in ODIs at the moment. Even I am downplaying the chances of West Indies doing well at home in England. Both the teams will go into the field with a full strength XI for the first match. According to the field statistics, we are going to see a high-run match. Even the record of low runs at this ground is good. It is still very difficult to say how the match is going to go. However, looking at the field statistics and the players of both the teams, I can say for sure that both the teams will fight for big runs. I am guessing that the first innings can be 330+ runs and West Indies will finish the second innings within 300 runs. Because, I do not see much possibility of West Indies batsmen doing well against England's fast bowlers.
After the end of the T20 series between England and West Indies, the ODI series has started in which we have seen England playing very strong and well, due to which it is not worth hoping for a win on West Indies, but they can improve, but England will not give such a chance. The strength of England batsmen is making runs very well and quickly in the beginning of the ODI series. The West Indies bowler should prevent more run which will give them a lot of advantage which will also help them win.If West Indies cannot play well even in the big inning of the ODI series it will take a lot of time and effort for them to get strong which makes it difficult for them to win. England is play well with their strong batting and is also work hard and struggle to win the match.
