The only threat but which bitcoin developers do not see as threat for now is quantum computing which is predicted to be able to reveal bitcoin private key from the public key.
That's weird, if quantum computing starts revealing bitcoin private key it might cause a big problem to crypto industry in general because a lot of people will lose their coins when their private keys get compromised from the public key. Bitcoin developers should swing into actions and proffer ways to stop this from happening in the future. Seems we will be needing more cyber security in the near future if at all we still need to maintain privacy
This is still a theory but it cannot be denied that if this theory continues to develop and can be realized then there should be several things that can be used as a security for us investors who certainly hold our bitcoin to still feel comfortable with what we are doing in bitcoin.

The more sophisticated the economy, all possibilities will still be able to occur including the theory where quantum computing can break the bitcoin key but on the other hand this can also have another meaning where this can become a new fud especially for those who do not like bitcoin then this can be used as an excuse to weaken bitcoin. It's just that I think when talking about the increasingly sophisticated innovations that exist, of course bitcoin developers will also not be silent and will anticipate things like this because this relates to the popularity and of course the trust of many people in bitcoin so that even if there will be things that make it possible to decipher the current bitcoin key but do not rule out the possibility that there will be an antidote as well.
