How about bodybuilders? They have tournaments and preparation for them last 2-3 months, rest time is their off-season time, same as fighters and their camps. However, during off-season bodybuilders do go to gym and do show their maximum performance. They only change their program when they prepare for tournaments, have more reps instead of more weight and change diet. Why dont they go party hard and always hungry? For both main enemy are not opponents in octagon or stage, but their body, cutting weight and mental preparation are.
