I would bet that his pardon will be on the agenda sooner or later - however, I think it will be part of some "crazy" decisions at the end of the presidential term.
Donald Trump's presidential term? Trump will be president up until 2028, and after then he cannot be elected president again, do you mean sbf would be pardoned within this time, of course you know that is never going to happen.Of course I'm thinking of him, who else? Usually, presidents grant a bunch of pardons upon leaving office, and I don't think this one will be any exception. As for re-election, it's true that by law no one can be US president more than twice - but word is that his team is working to repeal that law, because all dictators have done the same thing, right? The man clearly said, to paraphrase,
"Vote one more time and you won't have to again".
Yeah, i am aware he donated to many politicians, but people were also speculating a lot of things before the sentencing, i.e. 'he wouldn't go to jail', 'he wouldn't get more than 10 years', 'the politicians he donated to won't allow him go to prison for a long time', etc, but in the end he was sentenced to 25 years in jail and he could possibly spend all those years behind bars.
For his crimes, the sentence should have been 100+ years, but he got four times less. Someone of his profile certainly won't spend 25 years in prison, but time will tell how long it will be in the end.
