If a midfielder is leaving, don't they need a midfielder for replacement. Garnacho and Antony are not midfielders even if they will be a big plus to the team but a better midfielder should be kept in mind. Bayern Leverkusen had interest on Florian Wirtz but it is clear now, he will be going to Liverpool.
I was just surprised as you are when I read what he said that they should sigh Garnacho and Anthony as Jonathan Tah's replacement. Replacing a Midfielder with an attacker is not ideal at all, it would definitely affect the team so if Tah is leaving they should get another midfielder to replace him and not attackers. It'd be difficult for Bayer Leverkusen to retain Wirtz now especially since Jonathan Tah and Xabi Alonso are leaving he would have excuse to leave without feeling bad about it.
He can't stay at the team forever and the team should know that a player of his qualities would attract interest from bigger clubs. Liverpool is not a bad team to join.
The idea of ETH brining the same players he used in Ajax and Manchester United is not really make sense to me. They are not the only players who can play his style, he should get other players.
I don't like it too, the idea is really not nice especially since most of those players are struggling and football is advancing everytime so every coach needs to keep adding new players and new styles to their game.
