Now I think whether or not he shines depends on how Maresca treats his squad. It is true that this season Chelsea turned better compared to the previous 2 seasons where it was like a darkness for them but things like this are not really a guarantee because after all he still has to try to optimize the squad he has so that next season's expectations can be the same or even better than this season happened.

Chelsea again found the rhythm and returned to their original place but I think we know that for Chelsea now there are still many gaps including for their attack line which indeed there are still obstacles that must be fixed.
The problem for now is that we know that in the end in the last 3 seasons Chelsea have always lost a lot of money due to uncontrolled spending so that currently making improvements can be difficult especially when their squad is now fat with several players on loan back then surely they have to release the players first to minimize FFP by selling some players first.

It's true, Chelsea still haven't quite found the right formula despite spending over £1 billion to build squad depth. Enzo Maresca will need to streamline his squad during the summer transfer window, rather than just minimizing the risk of FFP sanctions.
I believe Chelsea will permanently offload most of the following players:
Robert Sanchez, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Axel Disasi, Tosin Adarabioyo, Benoit Badiashile, Ben Chilwell, Lesley Ugochukwu, Kiernan Dewsbury Hall, Carney Chukwuemeka, Omari Kellyman, Sterling, Nkunku, Joao Felix, Armando Broja, David Fofana.
With more intelligent transfer moves, Chelsea could recruit better players, so they can compete to be a title challenger in the Premier League and Champions League next season.

That's quite a lot of players Cheesy But Chelsea must do something like this even though it's difficult because after all, even though they have the advantage of being able to change schemes and rotate some players when the schedule is quite tight with this many players, on the other hand, this is also not very useful and indeed streamlining the squad is something that must be done.

Some players will be a little difficult to release, such as Joao, who is currently experiencing a decline in performance and is a little confused about his future, as well as the Sancho problem which also allows Chelsea to find alternatives rather than making this player permanent from Manchester United.
Currently, Chelsea must move faster because after all, apart from the overhaul they are doing by streamlining the squad, they are also required to find new options to cover the gaps that are currently still always there in their squad, especially considering the current conditions, their break is only a few weeks because the Club World Cup is waiting and must be prepared.
