I don't know but it really seems this is a season for the underdogs. Some few break throughs were achieved by some teams that we thought wouldn't have. Newcastle surprised us by beating Liverpool to win the Carling cup, Bologna shocked AC Milan and defeated them in the Coppa Italia final. Harry Kane ended his 16 years without a trophy to finally win one and add his name among trophy winners. Crystal Palace against all odds beat Manchester City to lift their first ever major trophy, Son finally lifted his first ever trophy with Tottenham after so many years of waiting. Season of the underdogs, well expect Bayern Munich, lol.
It has been an interesting season so far, a season full of surprises and mind blowing experience in the Premier League, Champions League, Europa league and even the conference league as well as other major league. The highlight of it all is the breakthrough for some teams and players who finally broke their trophy drought this season so I can agree with you that this season is the season of the underdogs.
Very strange statement about outsiders, because they are not. What does outsider mean? Kane, who was always at the top of his game but never took a team trophy was an outsider? Crystal Palace, who goes to the top of the EPL is also an outsider? That's very strange, I can only agree with the position of tottenham who surprisingly won a trophy but are still in 17th place.
