It will certainly be difficult if the player United is interested in gets competition from other clubs that appear in European competitions, however, Amorim definitely needs new players to build his team. The project cannot be postponed if he wants to change and improve United's performance next season. If not, there is a chance they could be relegated next season.
We'll see how United will carry out a strategy to win negotiations with the targeted player. Hopefully, the team that Amorim builds next season is not too bad.
The players will also see which teams are interested in them, although Manchester United is a team with a big name, but for now they do not have a selling point for players to be part of them. The reason is because of their poor performance and they will not even be in European competition next season.
This will be a consideration for the players, especially if they are interested in a team that is currently better than Manchester United. I want to know how Amorim or the management can convince the players they are targeting for next season. The approach will definitely be different, but if the approach is money then I personally don't really like that kind of thing.
