@EarnOnVictor, first he dropped a bomb on the EU, today the market is sinking because he launched a missile towards China - which only shows that there are no coincidences in all of this. If you're negotiating with someone in good faith, then you don't do things like this to them - because the other party will consider you unreliable because you're constantly changing your mind.
I would like the EU to be as strong as it may seem to some, but there are too many internal divisions that the US and China use for their own personal interests. Unfortunately, at this point, the EU is still too dependent on US military aid, especially given the war raging on its eastern borders. When you're in a situation like that, and you're also importing a lot of gas from the US, then you can't be as strong as you really should be.
