These days, there are countless scam projects that sound good at first but have no real value or intention to deliver. That’s why it’s very important to do your own research (DYOR) before investing in any coin or project.
Yes, DYOR is important, but these days market 95% of all altcoins are scams, and the scam activities have not been operating in the area of value, and innovative delivery is the reason why most people never notice.
Most scams in the current altcoin market are executed through the KOLs, unnecessary rules, and exchange alpha (an example is Binance Alpha).

What I always looks for first about an altcoin project before diving deep is if it is supported by a top firm in the startup investment space, because these people always go for projects that will bring them money, and I once made 1000x years ago through some project like that but it is hard to find a gem altcoin project that due to the reason I stated above.
