I still cannot fathom the fact that Manchester United was in their best form in the Europa League but was on their worst form in the champions league, this is not what anyone saw coming. Amorim needs to step up his performance though, because this may be his only chance to change things for this team or he may risk losing his job. He can’t go two full season without anything being achievable, he’ll soon lose his job if that happens, so he’ll need take his job more serious from next season.
Ruben Amorim is too attached to his principles and still wants to implement the 3-4-3 formation, we know Ten Hag legacy squad is not used to playing with that scheme, so it is no wonder they had difficulty winning. In the Europa League, Man United was lucky because the opponents they faced were not as competitive as the Premier League, so they managed to reach the final. We can see, when Man United faced Tottenham, who are also representatives of the Premier League, Ruben Amortim squad suffered another defeat.
