Common bro, we have other players that did their best for the club to outshine other teams, I'm not talking about the EPL because they perform poorly, I'm pointing to the Europa League where they dominated and won the Europa trophy. Tottenham Hotspur winning the Europa trophy automatically qualify them to feature in the UEFA Champions League next season.
That is the best thing about the Europa League, fundamentally things can be very nice when you are in the semis and finals of a Europa League for me it is the best, because the best teams are already filtered, however for me that the SPURS won is the best, because finally football is beginning to emerge as the first option and not corruption, the MU with all the disorder they played in the PL, would have done absolutely nothing in the UCL, in fact they have already shown it, now the SPURS could be the ones who make the difference, that is what we have to see.
This comment surprises me because based on the last 10 years, Tottenham slightly outplayed Manchester United in the Premier League with their peak performance reaching 86 points in 2016, 2017 and yes that is a long time ago, but since then Tottenham and Manchester United were about the same. One season Tottenham had the better finish, the other season Manchester United had the better finish.
In my opinion this year's Europa League final has shown that the EPL is strong. No matter whether these teams are barely getting away from the relegation zone (not in terms of points, but final standings), it is by far enough for both to reach the final and then for one of them to play UCL next year.
You say that Manchester United wouldn't have done much in the CL and I agree. What do you expect from Tottenham in that competition next season?
