I just feel they are after small nations and not the big ones because not only these countries have shown great concern in bitcoin and had not face any probe from them. IMF will continue to prove them but who cares when what they want to achieve with this Bitcoin mining will be of great material to them and can be incentivized.
At this point, I just think they should be neglected as long as they can’t stop the project from becoming actualized. 2000 megawatt power generation that would be achieved from this mining plant will really be helpful to the nation, this is a good development and IMF should just let them be. They should also not fear the IMF threats, because they’re empty threats that really needs to be neglected to achieve one’s goal.
IMF did not randomly issue warnings to Pakistan or El Salvador. Both are members of the IMF and are relying on aid from the International Monetary Fund to sustain their economies.
It is also no coincidence that El Salvador accepted some of the IMF's demands in order to obtain a loan from the organization. Similarly, if the IMF continues to pressure Pakistan, it will have to give in.
We should find out the economic situation of these two countries and what they are going through, as well as what the mission of the IMF is. Don't be quick to criticize or defend someone when we don't know the situation there. As far as I know, both countries are in dire economic situations, heavily indebted, and the IMF is trying to help them.
