I myself was surprised that after my wife's account was blocked on OKX, she received a letter that her cryptocurrency could not be withdrawn from the exchange and she would remain there as long as the lock was in effect. I have never seen anything like this before, so that would not allow  to withdraw crypt from the exchange after blocking account.

Maybe we need to know the reason for blocking your wife's account because if she did nothing wrong then it shouldn't have happened.
Blocking usually occurs because the exchange suspects money laundering activities or it could be for other reasons and has it ever been contacted before by the exchange?
If no rules have been violated then the account blocking should not have been carried out because your wife did nothing wrong.

This is an important lesson for anyone and keeping assets in the exchange is not a good move because if something like what your wife experienced happens then it will be very detrimental.
Especially if it cannot be recovered and automatically the assets we have will be lost and I wish the best for your wife.
