Students are not the only ones that are likely to become addicted but it can be self destructive to them more than others. My reason for saying this is because being a student isn't easy especially those in tertiary institutions, they need to be focused on their studies without any distractions but gambling can take them off track and even make some of them drop out of school. When this happens it becomes bad for their mental health
Students are very much into gambling because of the amounts they receive as upkeep, if they are not getting enough cash from sponsors, they make an option to gamble with the little amount given to them, it happens this way not because they like to gamble with the risk but it is the only opportunity they can think of to add extra cash and still maintain focus in their studies without trying to do side jobs and spend time hustling outside. Gambling can only affect finances, but not regarding losing focus on studies.
