Winning the UEFA Champions League trophy will be a big deal and a difficult task for Arsenal to achieve because Arsenal always fails to make use of the opportunity they have to win a trophy. Even though Arsenal plays against weak teams in the UEFA Champions League competition, Arsenal will still find it difficult to win the UEFA Champions League trophy. I think Arsenal should focus more on winning the Premier League title, which is a little easier for them to win than the UEFA Champions League trophy.
It's definitely a hard nut to crack by Arsenal because so far they have totally failed in all ramification to lift it. The worst part of this is that they have played only one Champions League final in their entire history which was back in 2006. If you ask me, that's not a serious team to me, you played just one final and you want to win it. I'm not sure that there are too many teams that has attempted to win the trophy on their very first trial. The mentality of the club isn't like one who wants to win that very trophy anytime soon.
Everyone is saying same thing about Arsenal and it's just so painful that they are not even taking the criticisms from people serious, how can a team become runners up for 3 good consecutives season without winning the title talk more of the Champions League that looks almost impossible for them. They were close to reaching the Champions League finals this season, but they gave it up to PSG even right from the first leg at Emirate Stadium which made things become complex for them during the second leg. A lot of people have lost trust in Arsenal just that what is still keeping most people especially their fans is because despite their flops, they have a very distinct way of play such that when you watch them in most of their matches you will enjoy their pattern of play. Anyways, they are always hopeful of the next season whenever they fail in the previous one so let's see how well they will perform in the Premier League and in the Champions League games next season.
That's a serious problem but the over look at it at all times. Once Arsenal wins few consecutive games and at least one or two big teams, you will see their fans making all sorts of noise. Again the other problem Arsenal as a team has is also the fans. They are so delusional that sometimes you start asking yourself what has this team even achieved in the last 20 years domestically that's making their fans to make so much noise? Talking about the Champions league for them is even worse, after they won Real Madrid, one of the fans said, they don't care about the league that their main focus was the Champions league, lol. I laughed and told him that so long it's Arsenal, they can never eliminate this PSG side, he said they beat PSG in the group stage. So you're comparing group stages with knockout rounds, lol.
