Theoretically a code based system might eliminate corruption and make processes like taxes and voting more fair and transparent however I think relying entirely on code has restrictions, Code can’t feel or grasp complex human situations.  Sometimes we need empathy not just rules, maybe the greatest road is a combination. Let code handle what it does well like automation and openness while people stay involved when judgment and compassion are needed
