I also hope that the Leverkusen team can still be a strong competitor in the Bundesliga even though Alonso is no longer coached.
I am not very optimistic about that point especially that many Bayer Leverkusen players are looked for by many teams and Xabi Alonso himself. Additionally, Ten Hag has his way of players selections and might change drastically the technics and the way of the gameplay for the team.
I should wait for some games in the beginning of the season to get a clearer idea, until then I hope Bayer Leverkusen will stay in the top spots. I am waiting to see Borussia Dortmund competing Bayern Munich for the title next season.
Judging from the team performance last season, I think they can still remain competitive next season because they signed a manager who is also good and compete against almost all the managers in the Bundesliga if he is given enough money to sign players.
Alonso left the team with some good players, although some of them are on their way out of the team and they are important yo the team. Eric Ten Hag will want to sign more players to suit his squad as a manager; he will like to prove himself because he wasn’t able to perform well in Manchester United and some of us complain that the problem is from the team, therefore, there are hopes that he can do better if he get the players he wanted in his squad.
