I didn't watch the Spain and France match, but when I checked livescore, I saw the Spain and France game ended 5:4 in favor of Spain. When Spain was leading France with 5:1 in the second half, I never expected that France could fight back to the point of scoring 3 more goals after Mbappe scored through the penalty spot. Maybe Spain were carried away by their 5:1 lead against France, and they never believed that France could be a threat to them, but they were lucky enough that there was not enough time; if not, France would have leveled up against them.
Oh bad - you missed the 9 goal thriller between France and Spain. I only watched the second half where I actually saw both teams score - but France had to give up because of time, they came back late and Spain took advantage. Spain are through to the final - while France will meet Germany for third place.
Speaking of player performances - I think Lamine Yamal deserves a lot of credit for his work. He played full time and has 2 goals to his name - Lamine will be a superstar this decade. Not only at club level - Lamine Yamal is also great at international level with his national team.
Spain vs France was absolute show. Aggressive game play from both team and there were no dull moments. Great attacks, great saves, a goal saved by pole, a goal disallowed by VAR for being offside, there were nothing that was not there. France did played as good as Spain if not better but they got more unlucky than Spain.
It was really like two top European teams playing each other. I guess this semi final was more important than the final itself as the winner of it would have greater chance of winning the finals.
