one of the reason why most graduate couldn't start small is
1] no capital
2] pride
3] no good mentor
in all i think that pride is one of the reason why most of them remain stagnant.
I love the point you raised in this context, but you are wrong to have believed that pride is the major reason people are jobless. How is that even possible? For me, I think you left the major possible reasons ("no capital" and "no good mentor"). Why pride when it is what will better your life and make people envy you? And there are hundreds of works you can choose from if some look unbeffiting. Those who are doing the white-collar job, especially bankers, are bending knees for self-employed people, so it's honourable on its own.
If you have read the thread thoroughly, you would know the reason why I emphasize more on pride. I wouldn't have love to explain myself again, but for the benefits of doubt, when I mean "pride" I don't say it out of negligence. Pride is the major problem of most graduate because many opportunities has passed th m by simply because they felt too big for the Job considering their academic qualifications.
I got you right the first time, but notwithstanding, you did well by explaining again. But still, my position about this is the same. Fine, pride can contribute to this (in some people), but I tell you, its contribution is so little. Your friends and others in his shoes that you used as an example are an isolated case, it doesn't say for people in general. People are desperate to work, and almost all of them would start from somewhere, unless they have something to fall back at for money. Imagine a person with no earnings or financial support anywhere, wouldn't such be forced to accept the job? This is the situation of the majority, which is one of the reasons why I don't place much importance on pride, but it will surely be true with some people.
