The military is also corrupt because they alias with the politicians to steal the country's funds in a criminal and hidden pattern. I have a friend in the military that told me all the corruptions in the military how the military back up the politicians to get favored in order for them to have a bite of the national cake. Due to the tribalism and nepotism in the country, I believe division is the only solution. If not our children children will suffer what we are suffering currently.
Many citizens are hoping that the military would intervene and stabilise the heating tension of corruption in the country which seems to far from happening because they are now benefactors of the spoils from the politicians. Am impressed that right now some citizens are now waking up to this reality that there's no hope in the military doing anything about the dilapidating political structures in the country. However, division of the country isn't going to be the best solution to this situation in Nigeria.
I will not agree with you that dividing the country into two parts wouldn't change anything because you don't know what the outcome of the seperated nation will be. You are only talking based on your assumption. I believe that Nigeria resources is too big for only some set of people to enjoy greedily. If Nigeria divides, it will motivate the two nations to be upfront in developing their country and manage their resources wisely. Ex-military men are fighting to be Governors and President in Nigeria.
It might seem to you as a best solution but don't forget that it's going to be same set of powerful men that will rule in those separations.
It will be the same for Nigeria, but I don't think that it will be the same for Biafra.
