There have been many people here in this section of the forum that the worst thing which could happen to a newbie within the world of gambling is to have a pretty good first session and win a significant amount of money, because that would make him to be completely hooked up from the beginning and the chase for losses would be just a matter of time to him, from there, the path towards addiction is almost certain.
On the other hand, of someone is a newbie and had a regular or a bad first session on the casino, they would grow cautious on his future deposits and the way he will manage his money, knowing it could be all lost pretty quickly.

Anyhow, there are several ways someone could develop addiction to gambling and each person who is addicted has a different story to tell us, it is never exactly the same for everyone..
When a player quickly loses their first deposit they usually develop a completely different attitude towards gambling compared to a player who wins big from their first deposit. The one who wins big right away sees an example of how they can win and even if they lose their first deposit they will think they just did not have enough experience and will do better next time so they will come back more than once. But the one who loses their first deposit will have a negative experience and will be much more cautious about gambling. It is also likely that their next deposits will be much smaller.
You are right in thinking that gamblers who lose their first deposit are more cautious. The attitude of gamblers who win their first bet may not be as positive as that of losing gamblers in the future. This is because most of the time they are likely to lose. The risk of losing the deposit and the consequences of immediate defeat teach a cautious attitude and limit the allocation and can be positive for being a calculating gambler. The greedy attitude that comes with winning again after one win makes him more aggressive to play on a larger scale. The habit of gambling by adding more money puts you more at risk of losing and towards addictive consequences, but regular and ideal gamblers allocate a limited amount of money to each bet and increase the number of bets to spread it and increase the chances of winning.
