Elon says Trump tariffs will cause a recession this year.
He's not wrong on this one. While I am not taking sides for both of them and I am not in that country. But the global impact of tariff was noticeable and even until now, it will not only going to cause inflation to the US but also to other countries that are also following the US markets and paths. And much worse if it goes into recession, this will definitely have an effect to all of us.

Their egos didn't fit in the same room
I guess that both of them have personal interests that didn't benefit him and the other and so, the conflict goes.

Unfortunately, I'm in this country lol. I couldn't agree with you more, it does affect everyone! What's your take on Trump Media raising $2.5 billion to buy Bitcoin?
I don't know much about that raising of that amount for buying Bitcoin. But I'd be bias that if it's about Bitcoin and them buying with that amount, let them be.  Cheesy

Of course, it's all about personal gain, and once the benefits are no longer shared equally, conflict is inevitable.

Elon and Trump's friendship is based on benefits only, because the past shows that their relationship has more disagreements and criticism than a constructive and close relationship. Their relationship did not really improve until the 2024 US presidential campaign.
It seems like history is repeating itself once again in their relationship as it no longer benefits either of them.

Elon literally said that if it's not for him, Trump won't win. Well, politics sure is a messy thing and these things are happening. Like what they say, in politics and everything, the only permanent is change.
