It's now official, Tottenham has fired Postecoglou today according to Popular football transfer journalist, Fabrizio. The very day that Tottenham won that trophy against Manchester United, I was seeing how Tottenham broke a 17 years old trophy drought I went online to make little research and I saw how Tottenham had sacked the coaches that once won a major trophy for the club after the club went without trophies for some years. Then I knew that sooner or later Tottenham was still gonna repeat it's history of sacking the coach that won them something. Today, it's been confirmed by Fabrizio
It's sad how it had to end this way for Postecoglou. Breaking a 17 years trophy drought couldn't even save him from being fired. Well his performance were not encouraging this season at all and it seemed like last season performance was even better. I am not sure if the management made the right decision but whatever they do they have to employ a better coach else it will be for nothing.
I could remember how they got Mourinho sacked few days to a final for poor performance which is a very bad thing to do. It looks like it's a culture for them to sack coaches about to win a trophy or who just won a trophy for them.
"His performance was not encouraging this season at all and it seemed like last season performance was even better" I really don't know what these owners want, whether it's finish between 6th - 9th and get eliminated from all other competition that you're participating in and you will have a good season. Finish below 15th and win the second most important trophy across Europe football clubs and get sacked. I really don't know which is more important to them. It's not even like Tottenham is a team that has ever contested for the league in recent years.
