The challenge here shouldn't be about the reduction in the numbers of the total merit sources we have, rather we should be celebrating the increase in the numbers of the active merits sources, let's see for a few time now, if things wouldn't change for good than before and from how it used to be.
This could be what the admin was doing the day merit sources were experiencing a bug on their merit send page (negative Smerit).
