If possible, I would suggest something similar to the Karma system on ALTT, just give unlimited sMerit to Sr.Member rank and above, but there's a cap limit of only 1 merit that can be sent to a profile in 12 hours.

For example, User A can send 1 merit to User B and User C at the same time, and needs to wait another 12 hours to send another 1 merit to either User B or C or both. But this will raise what if some post deserves exceptional merits because it brings too much valu,e that is where merit sources will come, who got the ability to send more than 1 merit with no time cooling period of 12 hours.

That will bring fair distribution of merit, no one will hoard and inflate/deflate the merit. And obvious abuses when this system is in place can get caught since we already have merit logs visible here, not like ALTT.
