To defend the Champions League title in a row is not an easy thing to do and it might be much more difficult for PSG to maintain consistency until the semifinals for next season. PSG's motivation will indeed be higher after winning the Champions League this season but it is not easy to maintain what they have achieved. A number of other teams will also make every effort to make their team stronger so that PSG will get a much more difficult challenge compared to this season.
Real Madrid can actually brag about winning the championship title consistently, now the current team happens to be PSG. Actually I doubt if they can maintain same energy consistently because we can’t tell each opponent strength likewise the current title race imagine seeing PSG winning the title this season I guess only few expected a win from PSG yet it happened. Let’s still not decide on who will win the title race next time probably PSG also want the best for their team definitely improvement is guarantee.
It's not always easy to defend a trophy, all contestants will try to perform better next season. PSG made history by winning their first Champions League, as we know at first they were not the main favorites. For next season, maybe everyone will be surprised again with the emergence of a new champion. But in theory, Madrid, Bayern Munchen, Inter Milan, Man City, PSG, Barcelona are some teams that I think will compete tightly for the trophy.
On the other hand, the change in the Champions League format, I think has given a greater advantage to teams like PSG and Bayern Munchen. I mean, both teams are very dominant in their respective Leagues, where they are easier to compete without getting much pressure, so they can divert their attention more to the Champions League. However, we will see what will happen to both teams next season.
