Tottenham Hotspur are known for sacking their coaches either towards final of a competition or after the finals irrespective of performance. It didn't surprise me that Postecoglou has been shown the exit door despite winning for them the Europa trophy after all these years of going trophyless. They did same to Jose Mourinho when he was manager there, after taking them to the finals, just few days to the game he was sacked. Lol.
Prior to this post I had never noticed this trend in Tottenham before. Ange Postecoglou is a good manager and I believe he will get a good club to employ him soon. I read his farewell post on Twitter and he didn’t say anything bad about the club, he took the club’s decision with grace and maturity. Tottenham have to make sure that whoever they sign next can do a far better job than Ange Postecoglou.
With his managerial qualities, Ange Postecoglou will certainly get many offers from other clubs, I think he will not rest for one or two seasons. Ange Postecoglou action to respect the club decision is a wise move, he will get a lot of respect from the fans and of course from the players. Besides, related to Ange Postecoglou next successor, I think Tottenham will not look for big names. Reportedly Thomas Frank who is currently the manager of Brentford has emerged as a strong candidate, and it is not certain that he can lead Tottenham to achieve the target next season.
