Gavi has openly stated that he will stay at Barcelona, so speculation about his future may have been answered. So if PSG want to sign a talented young midfielder like Gavi, it looks like they will have to looking for other alternatives now.
If PSG cannot sign Gavi, it certainly has better alternatives and it should not be a big problem. On the other hand, if PSG manages to recruit Gavi, I disagree slightly. Gavi had a long injury previously, and bad things could certainly happen again. PSG should remember the Neymar incident. Gavi is a talented young player, but I think he will be vulnerable to injury in the long run.
IMO, PSG seems very ambitious after succeeding in getting a new history last season. But I hope PSG still maintains the quality of its squad not to recruit players who could be a problem in the new season later.
PSG at the moment have an enviable squad depth, all they need is to enhance it for next season due to how expectations on them would be very high as defending champions in the champions league. Imho, Gavi is a quality player but he doesn't fit into the PSG kind of football with how prone he is to injuries he can't be reliable to be consistent in a season. What PSG needs a midfielder that is void of such injury problems and Gavi isn't that player.
