In my own view,wealth is not money rather money is just an instrument to measure and keep it going.
Let's no over-emphasize this, the reality is that
Money is the foundation of Wealth . Without money you cannot say you are financially wealthy.
You cannot tell a man who can't pay his bills, provide for his family, that wealth isn't money. The poor man at that point doesn't even need peace of mind all his concerned about is the money. I mean what's peace of mind when you are constantly stressing over bills?Money gives you numerous options, option to have the best education, best healthcare, best housing etc. Without money all door are shut.
Well money may not be everything, but let's not
detach money from wealth coz they go hand in hand. So for me wealth is the money itself.
There are many forms of wealth but no doubt that money is more notable among them. You already said the reason why. After all, there are still poor people that has a control, so they are not struggling financially. They can feel that being simple gives them a peace of mind. He mentioned the word instrument there but there are rich people too that can only act simple and some won't think that they are rich.
Poor people on the other hand, is usually the ones that try so hard to look rich but they still look poor on the eyes of the majority, therefore I won't say that money is an accurate instrument to measure some one else. I only don't know if what he mean there by to " keep it going " . Is it staying alive? Well yes, we need money to buy food to survive.
