Why is winning the Europa League not enough for Tottenham? Tottenham can't win any major titles. Isn't winning the Europa League more honorable than being in the top 7/8 of the points table?
Tottenham has won the title after a long time. However, it is true that the team's performance in the Premier League was terrible. The team was very close to the relegation zone. However, Tottenham did quite well in the Europa League matches. I think Tottenham's former coach needed to be given another chance. Also, changing the coach is unlikely to strengthen Tottenham's performance.
Winning Europa League is actually good achievement for the entire team because this alone as make them popular since for almost two Decades of winning trophy. For almost 17 years Ange Postecoglou I've really make a history for himself and the team. Tottenham is an important team in the Premier League which they should be among the top teams but when you find them at the bottom it sounds so surprising and that alone really disappointed the management because at least even though they couldn't perform very well they should either fall at the range of Europa zone or Conference League zone which is what happened last two seasons, but this season thing went wrong.
Despite winning Europa I still support the management in their decision, assuming he did better in the Premier League, they could have considered that. I applause him because he make Tottenham more popular again for winning this trophy after 17th years.
