His hate towards Messi is huge. He saysthat Ballon d'Or should go to the Champions League winner because he has won more Champions League trophy than Messi but Messi has 3 more Ballon d'Or than Cristiano, while Cristiano's dream was to have more Ballon d'Or than Messi. If we follow Ronaldo's logic, then the World Cup winner should win the Ballon d'Or because the world competition is the highest level of competition and the one who wins the World Cup, should be the best player but that doesn't sound right for Ronaldo because Messi won World Cup and he didn't.
I hate it when someone gives an opinion and then we allow sentiment push us to assuming that it's all about the rivalry he shares with certain player. In terms of ranking, the world cup is at the top of it all followed by the champions league and then all other sub leagues. Preferences are always placed based on this ranking and Ronaldo's opinion is just a fact even though to an extent, it might be based on vini jnr being denied the last balon d'or even after he won the champions league.
Ronaldo is never winning a balon d'Or ever again, Messi is also not winning the balon d'Or and so, whatever opinion either of them holds is just based on Thier view and at the end, the body in charge of the balon d'Or will still work with whatever variables they've been using to access who is more fit for the position.
