I've been in this forum for a while now and I've seen other members earning 50 and 100 + merits  per post and are usually merited by a single user which meriting act is carried even in less than a day. So what made you think other users can't earn the minimum of merits here as that of perfectbaby which makes you feel it was to be impossible?
Oh because there's a "baby"included in the "perfectbaby"s" username and you think it's a baby owned account or expected the account to be crawling as baby is implied on the username that can't keep good quality posts to that level?
If that be, that's a wrong thought of you Op.
These are two different scenarios. Yes @perfectbaby was helped by concerned forum users to help him/her rank  up since the account was close to becoming a hero member. But that cannot be compared to users who came up with valuable ideas, solutions and educative threads who earned up to 50+ merits due to their efforts and quality. The case of perfectbaby is completely a help from concerned users. By analysis we all know those threads don't deserve those number of merits.

So dramatic because I don't know why you'll still keep stressing here on the merits earned by Perfectbaby after you admitted babo contribution.
How do you identify quality posts and on whose instructions are you to follow in identifying posts to merit?
I think you should just rest the case. Difference is that if it was me or you, I don't think if we'd had merited that post with such amount of merits based on how we rates posts qualities as per individual but since we aren't Julien_olynpic who merited the posts, just take it likely that the sender saw interesting qualities in the posts Worth the amount of merits given to thosi posts since our likes and dislikes differs.

Still positive if you think the merits were awarded sympathetically as the user Perfectbaby was closely to rank up.  Grin
