For the next one or two seasons, Lewandowski still has the ability to play at a good level and he also still has a contract until 2026 with Barcelona, but what Lewandowski needs to do is avoid injury because when this happens it will stop his steps to play at a good level. His age is indeed not easy anymore, but being able to reach 42 goals this season is a very good achievement because not many players at that age can do like Lewandowski. Barcelona could use some young players when Lewandowski is injured so what needs to be done is to recruit lower players to strengthen the defense.

At Lewandowski’s age, he’s more prone to injuries than he was in the past when he was of younger age. He may try as much to avoid injuries but if he’s not careful, he’ll even be injured intentionally by an opponent just for the strength of the team in the attack to reduce because of that. Lewandowski looks very bold and healthy enough to continue playing even at this age and can do so in this manner in many years to come from now, so Barcelona should be happy that they still got a starter like him in the squad.

Regardless of how confident they are in Lewandowski, Barcelona still needs to show their most best interest to sign another good striker that can be in his place because he can’t be there for them always considering his age. Injuries are there, so they should have a plan B in place, so that they don’t fall into serious issues when the league is already on and they’re doing perfectly well as they should during the season.
