One by one, new players are now being introduced by Madrid and this is a step that indicates that they are serious about making a difference next season so that what happened this season does not happen again.
Although Huijsen's price tag seems quite high for a 20-year-old player, I can't deny that it's worth it for me, especially in today's market where sometimes big prices are always the benchmark.
With Huijsen in the current squad at least Madrid are quite serious about overhauling their defense which was a little weak last season due to several things including injuries to several players and now they have enough alternatives for that so that Xabi will not feel too much of a headache especially Carvajal and Militao are also recovering even though they still have to wait for adaptation again after 1 season of absence.
The defense was more than due for Real Madrid and they needed some new players there as it mostly consistent of old veterans, but the truth also is that they had a high number of injuries that was hard to expect. When Alaba, Carvajal and Militao are inured at the same time and some other players who could temporarily replace them are injured as well, then it is difficult and complicated for every big name club out there. The bench is only so long and if it is already filled with many stars, which it is at Real Madrid, huge trouble becomes real once a serious of injuries happens.
They still benefit from their big name though and have less of a hard time to be the first to pick at the transfer market. Most players still want to go there if they get the chance to do it, but seeing how some other teams develop, especially Barcelona, it is an urgency for Real Madrid to make the team become much better as fast as possible of course.
