Roma usually always have a good/very good team but they rarely win something. Why? In Italy we say that it's "una piazza difficile", which we could translate as "a troubled environment" because they fans always have a lot of love for the team but also a lot of expectations because every year they hope to win something and at a certain point the pressure becomes just to much for everyone: managers, players, fans, and everything collapse. It's going to be interesting to see this team managed by Gasperini, it's his lifetime opportunity at this point.
For what reason should Roma win anything? I mean Serie A, not a cup or some minor title. They are too far behind the big four in terms of budget. And if it wasn't the big four but one club or two at most, there would be a chance because sometimes even two clubs have slumps. But the probability of four clubs going into crisis at once is practically zero. Roma are where they should be, but their management acts like they should at least be contenders for gold every season if they haven't won it. It's ridiculous.
