But what happened is that we ended up with a new problem.. online gambling that could increase the poverty rate even further.
I hope the government takes notice, because we’re really in big trouble.

The PH government have already noticed that even before it become this big of a problem. They may even foreseen this coming but chooses to disregard it's major effect to the people because they can earn more from taxes coming from gambling.
As you can see, PAGCOR only issued some reminders, warning, or whatever you call it that serves as disclaimer. Other than that, no major actions has been taken despite if all the concerns around the social media.

Gambling has been evolving ever since it became very accessible online. The government might only going to take bold action against this If the crime rate become even more alarmingly high.
As the crime rate isnt really that too high then they wont be taking any actions at all and would remain still on what they do have now in terms of situations and conditions on which the  country does have. They would definitely be trying out to snip or suck out taxes as much as possible because they do know that they can benefit from it on which its normal since we do know that taxes do help out economic development in overall if we do speak about its real usage and purpose. The only issue on here is that if those taxes arent that being used on the proper way then it will be that totally having very sad situation considering that corruption is too rampant on which it should be supposed to be used for the people or citizen of a certain individual.

As long that government wont be able to take up such step on combatting gambling and would be that still getting huge revenue into it then they wont be completely stopping and would be just that allowing it to run because they do know that they can be able to obtain something. Good thing if they would be not that corrupt but knowing Philippines then it is that a different story.
