It got me thinking whether people think that gambling success stories can only be if you recover from gambling? Is that really the end goal? To rid of gambling as an activity?
If you recover from gambling addiction, it's enough to call it a success story. When you also made a large win after years of winning peanuts and steady losses in gambling, it could also be considered a gambling success story.

If there is any user which I can recall about his or her gambling success story, it should be @GxSTxV.  I have read a story about the user here in the forum shared by himself and how he was able to handle and come out of addiction; such a story is a success story. Once you pull off from something which is as rough as stable losing and addiction, it should be celebrated.
Imho, I think the greatest of all times gambling success stories shouldn't be reckoned to be of people who made some huge jackpots but about those who were able to against all odds rediscover themselve and bounce out of gambling addiction to becoming responsible and well disciplined gamblers instead.  It's something that's remarkable than some huge wins. Anyone can be lucky to win a jackpot but not everyone survives or escapes from  the web of gambling addiction.
