Football is never about emotions. You have to consider his age. I think I should support Barcelona's decision considering the quality of the team they are. Hansi Flick always likes to promote young players and he focuses more on building a young team. So it is natural that Lewandowski would want to sell him, even though he is an important player for them, considering his age. The two advantages they have here are getting some funds and replacing a young player. Barca fans will never be able to deny Lewandowski's contribution, but his age may prevent them from keeping him at Barca. Because Barca are turning to young talent. I am looking forward to seeing his replacement.
As much as that youthful strength and energy matters on the pitch, you can’t deny the experience of an aged footballer having to give insights to some of these young talents on and off the pitch. They remain an essential support line during plays. Lewandowski is aged as we know it but, it hasn’t reflected significantly in his performances over the course the seasons his played in Barcelona. In fact, he had a great season in the recently concluded run. I wouldn’t root for Barcelona to let go of him just yet.
