It doesn't matter if the IMF intervenes in El Salvador's internal affairs or not. But the average person who is not invested in bitcoin and is neutral will also find this plan problematic, because during his years in power and over 4 years since bitcoin was adopted, their economy has remained stagnant.
I agree that the economy hasn't improved much under President Bukele, but I disagree with the point that it doesn't matter whether the IMF interferes in El Salvador's internal affairs or not.
The country cannot progress unless it is completely independent from any external political or economic interference. If any country's economy is subject to foreign policies, whether the IMF or the countries that support it, the country cannot progress.
The IMF will seek to keep El Salvador directly or indirectly subject to its conditions and policies, and unless El Salvador can do that, the country cannot progress.
