It seems most of Africa have not yet forgiven Jamie Carragher for disrespecting the AFCON earlier this year. After Senegal won England 3-1 yesterday, El Hadji Diouf called out Jamie Carragher and I’m sure the former Liverpool player would have seen it by now.
This is enough to remind Jamie Carragher. And I see why it made the headlines unlike if it were the other way around. African teams are as good as their western counterparts if only we can improve on budgeting for sports and have the proper system to vet and punish mismanaged funds. Congratulations to Senegal on their win regardless of whether it was a friendly match or not. They made record as the first African team to beat the English side in 22 games.
