I'm not sure if anyone could have predicted it, perhaps some people anticipated that it would become huge, but I highly doubt anyone was expecting it to surpass $100,000. I envy those lucky ones who bought thousands of them back in the early days of 2013-2017, forgot about them and ended up recovering their wallets now. Imagine buying €1000 worth of Bitcoin in 2015 only to find them now, in 2025. It's a feeling I would love to experience, but I certainly won't, haha!
I had also recovered a few wallets a few years ago, containing anywhere from 1 to 2 mBTC, nothing special, while some others were lost forever.
People who lost access to their wallets and later recovered them after several years could be considered lucky. Some of them would have sold their coins if they had access to them. Those who had access but intentionally decided to hodl are uncommon. These special people were able to overcome FUD and several attacks against Bitcoin. They are enjoying their wealth now because they choose not to follow the crowd
I have quite a lot of tokens or coins in several trading platforms but some of them, I couldnt get in anymore as it needs 2FA and my phone was lost.
