Bayern Munich is bringing Jonathan Tah quickly to the team. I wonder what the fee was for it but I assume not too much.
It was already a free agent signing.
Barcelona were also after him some time ago. I wish they didn't give up this quick. Iñigo Martínez had a good season but he is getting really old on one hand. Tah would have been a nice replacement.
I think Barcelona were weighing their options in the window and were unaware other clubs were also in on him. Tah would have been a major boost to Barcelona’s defense if they could strike a deal for his services, it’s unfortunate they lost out and Bayer Leverkusen have him on their side. All paperworks to be signed for Tah to feature in the club world cup.
Not like Barcelona were not aware of the situation with Jonathan Tah, they knew that other clubs were coming for him. I think Jonathan Tah's mind was already made up to join Bayern Munich, so there was really nothing much that Barcelona would have done to convince him to join them ahead of Bayern Munich, unless they were going to table bigger wage structure, and you know that Barcelona are not in a good financial position to do that. Also you know most of these players that play in the Bundesliga always wants to play for Bayern Munich, whenever they are leaving their forever club and Bayern Munich come calling. I don't know why, but it's something that I have been observing over the years.
