It got me thinking whether people think that gambling success stories can only be if you recover from gambling? Is that really the end goal? To rid of gambling as an activity?
As a compulsive gambler, being able to stop and stay away from gambling is a success for him and it is the ultimate goal. But for gamblers who consider gambling as a place to make money, they will feel successful if they get a big win from their bets. That way the gambler will feel proud after getting a big win and keep gambling consistently to get the same win.

This is the biggest win but it's been undermined based on the fact that it's not a win that comes with reward but it's something that a lot of people are finding it difficult to achieve. Even those that claim to have stopped their gambling addiction still relapse after a certain period of time. For a person to block out that triggers and be able to move past this addiction is a win because from that moment losses would stop
