Satoshi knew from early on that having too much attention would be a bad idea. Notice how when Wikileaks mentioned Bitcoin he said that this wasn't good, because it was too early, and we didn't need all that attention. This is almost his last post (only another post was made after this about DOS attacks)


It would have been nice to get this attention in any other context.  WikiLeaks has kicked the hornet's nest, and the swarm is headed towards us.


He left after this, and he also know that people would opposse to increase the blocksize so it could be run on normal computers and not just datacenters:


The networks need to have separate fates.  BitDNS users might be completely liberal about adding any large data features since relatively few domain registrars are needed, while Bitcoin users might get increasingly tyrannical about limiting the size of the chain so it's easy for lots of users and small devices.
