But now that the suits are running the show, the vibe is... sterile. The wild, revolutionary energy is gone, replaced by corporate custody solutions and regulatory chatter. The cypherpunk dream feels like it's been traded for a spot in a 401(k).
Is this what "making it" looks like? A higher price tag in exchange for its soul? What's the point if Bitcoin just becomes another toy for the system it was supposed to challenge?
Institutional investors have overwhelm the market of bitcoin but it still didn’t make it to lose its relevance and purpose. Yes we aspired for mass adoption but many didn’t seem to understand that it will come with a lot of challenges too and those are what we are seeing today. Bitcoin has not lost its credibility or the consensus on which it was built or working on, it will continue to grow and make great achievements while maintaining its existing protocols.
About challenging the fiat system, I think that’s where mostly get it wrong again, if it was for the challenging it is still existing and working towards achieving, it may not have made it this far. I just see it as an alternative to fiat and the government can’t kill it for how far it has come but just have to be part of it also. Bitcoin is alive and active as it has ever been, stop the assumption of it losing its credibility and purpose to the government since they’re also part of it now than they use to in the past.
