It got me thinking whether people think that gambling success stories can only be if you recover from gambling? Is that really the end goal? To rid of gambling as an activity?
I think I've one kind of the success stories you're looking for

There are more, but those who recovered from addiction struggles and got over gambling irresponsibly share their success stories readily and as such there are more records of repentant addicts than those who utilized their wins positively.

There are also people who won big from gambling, but ended up throwing everything and more back into the casino. Those would've had successful stores, but messed up
