Manchester City really suffered last season but now that Rodri is back and City have made signings to their defense line, midfield and attack I believe things will be better for them next season. Guardiola has been able to identify key weak areas in his squad and made signings to improve those positions so I am expecting to see a rejuvenated City team come next season.
Expecting Rodri return to his best level is unrealistic especially after a severe injury that can destroy career of any player. In addition, Rodri is like other players so he gets older year by year and his body has burden of ageing that affects his performances with time. Manchester City and Pep Guardiola must have plans for scenario when Rodri won't come back to his best next season.
He really wanted to learn Spanish, it was amazing when he said it on the podium. Maybe he has been studying for a long time and it is not just an excuse to go to Madrid. Top players have to be multi-talented not only on the pitch but also in languages. Being in an elite club environment takes it to a more challenging level, with Madrid's Trent being the key to the game.
If he plays for a Spanish club with many Spanish players and don't want to learn Spanish, it's harmful for his career. To communicate well with his team mates, coaches and also adapt to a new nation, he must learn that national language - Spanish. Playing for a big club like Real Madrid is dream for many players and Trent knows that he must take this opportunity as best as possible.
Playing for Real Madrid will help Trent having more chances of winning UEFA Champions League titles. He won it once with Liverpool but surely he will aim at lifting more titles with Real Madrid that is a most successful club in Champions League history.
